About Trading Links
Search engines look at links pointing to your website in order to determing how high they rank you. Getting people to link to your site is the most important thing you can do to make your site appear higher in a search.
'Relevant' links, links from the websites of other photographers, count even more. So when photographers with different specialities, or who aren't in the same geographical area, exchange links, it benefits them both without cannibalizing each others' business.
To exchange links with me, simply copy and paste this code onto your links page:
Then let me know:
1. Where I can find my link on your site.
2. The url you want me to link to (your homepage).
3. The title you want for your link. These are the words that when clicked-on take a person to your site.
4. Any description you might want to use. These are the words that describe your site, but aren't clickable.
If you dont know how to make a links page
A links page is simply a page on your website, like this one, where you can post links. It must be linked from a searchable page on your site. This link can be a simple, obvious link or it can be a less intrusive one, say from your contact page. It can even be a 'hidden' link, although Google frowns on this.
